Overview
The system is a web application for intranets or extranets for the recording and management of accident reports, the employee involved, the cause, the injury etc. Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, details of any accidents at work should be recorded. Information included should be the date and time of the accident, name of the casualty, nature of the injury and description of any treatment given. Whether or not the casualty had to take time off work as a result of the accident should also be given. As well as ensuring an accurate record is kept of all accidents, the system will also help in revealing accident patterns and recurring problem areas which can then be invetsigated further. Serious accidents must by law be reported to your regional office of the Health and Safety Executive. A serious accident is defined as:
